Some friends, a passel of six-year-olds, and I hiked Beech Mountain in Acadia National Park today with the intent of doing some spring hawk-watching. While not as productive as Derek Lovitch’s Bradbury Mountain Hawk Watch, in an hour and a half (12:45-1:15) we saw:
6 Turkey Vultures
2 Bald Eagles
1 Red-shouldered Hawk
1 Red-tailed Hawk
