Hey birders, hard to believe that International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD) is less than six weeks away, consider the ice and cold temps we are still seeing. But folks are already seeing Woodcock and it won’t be long before swallows flit around over the Kennebec again.
May 10 is IMBD, and the Viles Arboretum will be hosting another exciting event featuring bird walks, banding with Herb Wilson, and a display of Eduardo del Solar’s amazing bird photography. In addition, budding photographers will appreciate the workshop Eduardo is hosting at the Arboretum (details below and on the arb’s Facebook calendar).
