I had a woodcock in Appleton, Knox County, in one of the few bare patches in the woods along the St. George River this afternoon when it was still relatively warm.  A couple hours later after the cold front moved in, most of the mud was freezing solid again, so that little woodcock will probably go hungry for the next few days.
