Yesterday, a Northern Shrike was trying to pin down something in the melting snow at the edge of the marsh; then on the way to compost flushed a woodcock! This morning on Keene Neck two Ruffed Grouse were crossing the road to get to the other side (sorry couldn’t help but add the last bit to the sentence!) .
Lots of Song Sparrows, American Tree Sparrow still here along with the usual winter birds. Spring has sprung here!
