[Maine-birds] Rusty Blackbird spring Blitz surveys

Spring is coming, and Rusty Blackbirds will be returning. If you want to participate in surveys for this declining songbird or just read about why scientists are concerned, the Maine eBird portal has something for you.

The Maine eBird portal is sponsored by Maine's Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (IF&W), and Maine is the site of important primary research on Rusty Blackbirds thanks to, among others, IF&W's Tom Hodgman and former University of Maine graduate student Luke Powell, who is now a conservation ecologist at the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center.

Let's make the Blitz in Maine a success!

Thanks,

Louis Bevier
