Hi all,
We just had friends of the store bring in photos of a Summer Tanager at a feeder in Georgetown this morning. They will let us know if it sticks around.
Anyway, I mention this because the track of the recent storms and windflow was fairly conducive to facilitating the arrival of overshoots from the South (as I discussed in this blog entry last week:
http://mebirdingfieldnotes.wordpress.com/2014/04/30/biddeford-pool-snowy-owl-and-weather-discussion/), so keep your eyes open! Blue-gray Gnatcatchers seem to be around in slightly elevated numbers, and a little more widespread than usual, which could be a sign (along with this species's apparent range expansion) of more southern birds in the region.
