On way back from camp, we stopped at Messalonskee Lake's south boat launch, as well as the Depot Rd Martin Colony and Hallowell Sand Pit, for the annual Spring Mesalonskee Grand Slam.
-- We lucked out with 11 Black Tern and 1 far distant "rusty" Sandhill Crane off the boat launch, a fair numbers of Martins at the Martin houses, on the north end of Depot Rd, and a half dozen, or so, of Bank Swallows at the Hallowell Sand Pit (Depot Rd). All locations are within 1.2 miles of each other.
