[Maine-birds] WEVireo, etc. - Phippsburg May 31

Was able to photo at a distance, and record the song of a White eyed Vireo in Phippsburg this morning. Full details of location will be withheld until a later date, because of the possibility of nesting.

In an interesting example of the Patagonian Picnic Table Effect, I got good looks at a Bicknell's Thrush while waiting for the vireo to sing. Efforts at a photo entailed pointing my lens in the general direction of the bird foraging in the low underbrush and ferns, and firing away with extreme prejudice. There are no images in my shots. The bird was silent. 2 Hermit Thrushes were singing in the general area.
