[Maine-birds] White-faced Ibis, Scarborough Marsh, My 6 Year Old's Blog 5/25

My 6 year old son Owen blogged about his experience in Maine this past holiday weekend. We did have the Ibis on Sunday fairly close to the road Also the Tricolored Heron x Snowy Egret Hybrid was present!. Lots of lifers were had for him up there and it was a great experience! On Monday we went up to Belgrade and were able to add Black Terns to both our lifelists. Too bad we didn't have a lot of time as we would have liked to have rented a boat for some closer looks! My son is doing a little big year in the New England area. His big goal was 250 and his first goal was 200 which he surpassed quickly and now thanks to Maine is at 220!  to bad we didnt hop on that ferry for the Brewer's Sparrow!

good birding and thanks for reading and thank you for the emails with locations!
