I admit to being out of the loop sometimes, but it seemed rather unusual
to me to find at least 125 Double-crested Cormorants in one spot along
the Kennebec River between Waterville and Winslow. This was yesterday,
late morning. There were also a few shorebirds hunkered down in the
cold drizzle at the Flood Farm: Spotted, Least, Semi peep (2), Semi
Plover(1), Killdeer, and SB Dowitcher (2). Seems like variety than
usual for spring, at least at this location.
