[Maine-birds] Messalonskee - May 29 Kayak to SE corner

A gorgeous morning after the (Bright) fog lifted. Absolutely FAC on the water. But actually the birds were quite quiet and not very active. At least 20 Black Terns (difficult to estimate numbers) were actively feeding, after the fog lifted. Had a very cooperative Va. Rail, and saw or heard 3 PBGrebes. One burst of bugling from 2 Sandhill Cranes, never seen. Things like Swamp Sparrow, Savannah Sparrow and Marsh Wren were quite subdued.

And a Quinella on swallows: all 5 plus a male Purple Martin.
