Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter:        Andrew Wolfgang

Observers:        Chuck Barnes, Don Thompson, Jeannette Lovitch

Weather:
This morning we had excellent visibility, clear skies, light winds, and
temperatures above freezing. Conditions at the count site changed just
after noon today. Haze developed and scattered clouds were present. Winds
from the south picked up and made the last few hours of the count very
brisk.

Raptor Observations:
Red-shouldered and Red-tailed Hawks moved through in small numbers in the
last two hours of today's count.Turkey Vultures had a morning flight and
several pushed by before the count concluded. Local raptors were moving
early, Cooper's Hawks and Bald Eagles were recorded as well.

Non-raptor Observations:
Other migrants included:
4 Common Mergansers
5 Red-winged Blackbirds
2 Common Redpolls
1 American Robin

In addition to these migrants, 9 Bohemian Waxwings and 8 other species were
spotted foraging by the summit today.

Predictions:
Tomorrow's forecast calls for fog early in the morning, this will be
followed by rain in the afternoon. Winds will be 5-10 mph from the south.
Inbetween fog and rain, the count will continue through light fog or spotty
rain showers. In the event of lengthy rain showers or lingering dense fog,
the count will be delayed or canceled until conditions improve. I hope to
get several hours of hawk watching in before it rains on Bradbury Mountain!
