Howie Nielsen, Jonathan Alderfer and I birded Scarborough today through the very high tide. Highlights included fly-by Hudsonian Godwit (close by), a more distant Marbled Godwit spotted by JA, lots of Peregrines passing through, 9 - 11 for the day, 400+ Tree Swallows ignoring the N winds to migrate south and generally heading N instead, harriers, red-tails, Pecs and the expected birds. No longspurs, about due. One adult Semi Sandpipe was unexpected.
Despite the study N winds, a terrific time.
Thanks for the invite Howie and Jonathan,
Best,
Peter
