The oriole re-appeared at 2:10, after a 4 hour absence. It was easily spooked by human movements . We remained stationary behind the wood pile but eventually the.oriole settled on the single feeder by the garage where it settled in for 5++ minutes. It certainly prefers quiet.
Based on today's experience and other postings, I avoid midday but would go for early morning or from 1:45 to later. Best, Peter
