[Maine-birds] Re: VERY interesting bird at Plum Island in MA

There has been a presumed Tricolored Heron x Snowy Egret hybrid that has been at the Scarborough Marsh the past few years. I think that bird has returned already, but I guess it's not out of the realm of possibilities that it could be that bird or a similar one. Also I can't see the picture you were trying to share.

Later conclusion from the local experts was

"Poss hybrid heron/egret, from T mara-hawkwatch
Poss lucistic little blue or hybrid  t wetmore
