My observations of note over the past seven days included the following:

- 5 Great Cormorants, Fort Foster, Kittery, 5/7.

- 3 Harlequin Ducks, The Nubble, Cape Neddick, 5/7.

- 6 RED CROSSBILLS, Waterboro Barrens Preserve, Shapleigh and Waterboro, 5/8 (with Jeannette).

- 2 Louisiana Waterthrushes, Jagolinzer Preserve, Limington,5/8 (with Jeannette).

- 1 female Bufflehead, Pennessewassee Lake, Norway, 5/8 (with Jeannette).

- 10 species of warbler in one place (FOY; finally), led by 25+ Yellow-rumped Warblers, Old Saco Inn, Fryeburg, 5/9 (with Jeannette).

- 2 Rusty Blackbirds, Fish Street, Fryeburg Harbor, 5/9.

- 2 Red-necked Grebes, Simpson's Point, Brunswick, 5/10.

- 300+ White-winged Scoters, Wharton Point, Brunswick, 5/10.

- continuing KING RAIL, Webhannet Marsh at Eldridge Road, Moody Point, 5/11.

And my personal first-of-years this week were as follows:

- 1 Indigo Bunting, our yard in Pownal, 5/6.

- 2 Laughing Gulls, Seapoint Beach, Kittery, 5/7.

- 1 American Redstart, Beach Plum Farm, Ogunquit, 5/7.

- 1 Solitary Sandpiper, Webhannet Marsh, Wells, 5/7.

- 24 Least Terns, Wells Harbor, 5/7.

- 2 Commn Terns, Wells Harbor, 5/7.

- 1 Baltimore Oriole, our yard in Pownal, 5/8.

- 5 Prairie Warblers, Waterboro Barrens Preserve, 5/8 (with Jeannette).

- 2 Field Sparrows, Waterboro Barrens Preserve, 5/8 (with Jeannette).

- 2 Brown Thrashers, Old Saco Inn, 5/9 (with Jeannette).

- 2 Eastern Kingbirds, McNeil Road, Fryeburg, 5/9 (with Jeannette).

- 1 CAPE MAY WARBLER, McNeil Road, 5/9 (with Jeannette)

- 1 Cliff Swallow, Harbor Road, Fryeburg, 5/9 (with Jeannette).

- 1 BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER, Brownfield Bog, 5/9 (with Jeannette).

- 1 Ruby-throated Hummingbird, our yard in Powanl, 5/9.

- 6 Least Flycatchers, Morgan Meadow WMA, Raymond, 5/12.

- 2 Warbling Vireos, Morgan Meadow WMA, 5/12.

- 1 Red-eyed Vireo, Morgan Meadow WMA, 5/12.

- 1 Lincoln's Sparrow, Morgan Meadow WMA, 5/12.
