[Maine-birds] Atkins Bay - Phippsburg, May 25

All my expectations didn't pan-out this morning.  Very thick fog made passerine hunting a lost cause.  Instead, walked the mudflat an hour before dead low tide, looking for shorebirds.  These were hard to see, and harder to count.  In addition to about 30 BBPlovers, there were 4 Red Knots foraging close together.  All seemed to be just shy of full alternate plumage, but this was also hard to judge.

This is approximately three more Red Knots than I usually see here in the spring.
