Comments: Road Scholar Ornithology of Down East Maine. Schooner head has long been an interesting place to find a variety of Mount Desert Island specialty birds. We were fortunate to have a long scoped session with a Red-eyed Vireo and Pileated Woodpecker

Red-eyed Vireo (Vireo olivaceus) 3 This was an amazing Red-eyed Vireo which we finally had excessively calling in a stationary location 35 feet from the group. Detailed analysis for all participants.

Comments: Road Scholar Ornithology of Down East Maine Day 4 brought an interesting mixture mature forest birds including Peregrine Falcon on St. Savior , Winter Wren, Swainson's Thrush and Warblers. Three recently fledged Raven from the Flying Mountain nest entertained with stretches of retricies and remigies. Sunshine and beautiful before spotty showers when we returned to the hotel... Good timing and birds.

Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) 1 calling loudly from St. Savior Mt. on the first cliff face. I have seen these numerous times utilizing this part f the mountain.
