[Maine-birds] Nesting Common Goldeneye in Sandy Point WMA

Hi All,
We canoed into the Sandy Point Wildlife Management Area yesterday evening, looking for rails and other marsh birds.
It was pretty quiet with the exception of numerous Bank Swallows, but we did make a fun discovery: Common Goldeneye are nesting in one of the Wood Duck boxes we installed.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Common Goldeneye would be the only species with green/blue eggs. We didn't actually see the bird, but the eggs were warm and we didn't stay long.
How far south does this species typically nest?
Best,
William
