Phippsburg, Me Map 6 (Delorme) Totman Cove
lots of gunfire in Totman cove on North creek end today. Got my dog all riled up. And oh ya, the ducks and geese didn't like it too much either.
In a flock of Canadas of 20 or so, a big, fat, maybe/hard to say for sure slightly larger than Canada white goose. Could be the Frankengoose which showed up last year at about this time. The geese raced from North Creek south then banked east and landed on the lawn of Alliquippa, as is their usual. That's private property, but if one were to go to the end of the Alliquippa Road there is a public landing there from which parts of that lawn can be plainly viewed. I'll see if I can't catch up to them in the next couple of days.
Wind is blowing sustained 35mph now with gusts in 40s. Power has gone out once long enough to trip the generator and there is a monster spruce down in our road.
Maybe they were right about that Mayan calendar thing.
