I observed 2 different Tricolored Herons this afternoon, each in a different panne off the Eastern Rd at the Scarborough Marsh. The presumed Snowy Egret x Tricolored Heron hybrid was also present and at one point in the same scope view as an immature (~2nd year) Little Blue Heron which I thought was interesting. At least one White-Faced Ibis was out there and I had a great look at a Virginia Rail working the edge of a panne close to the trail. No sign of the Black-Necked Stilt, but plenty of shorebirds around!
Bird haahd,
