York County

Beginning with two reported on July 7th, at least 6 different LITTLE GULLS have been seen along the beach at Laudholm Farm in Wells as of the 16th.

On the 16th, a male BLUE GROSBEAK was reported as being along the power lines over a field on Ricker Road in Saco.

Greater Portland

Continuing from June 17th, a BLACK-NECKED STILT is still being seen in the pannes along the Eastern Trail through the Scarborough Marsh. Most sightings of this bird tend to come from the afternoon.

Two WHITE-FACED IBIS, at least one TRICOLORED HERON, and the presumed TRICOLORED HERON X SNOWY EGRET hybrid continue to be seen with some regularity this week in various places around the Scarborough Marsh.

Midcoast

A well-described juvenile SABINE'S GULL was reported from Eastern Egg Rock on the 13th.

Penobscot Bay

An adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was reported from the Belfast boatyard on the afternoon of the 13th.

Central Maine

Two AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKERS that have been reliable along the west side of Baxter State Park were observed tending to a fledgling on the 15th.

Downeast

Three CASPIAN TERNS were photographed flying over Seal Cove in Tremont on the 11th.

Northern Maine

An AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN was found on the north end of the lake in St. Agatha on the 10th and continued until the morning of the 12th.
