I strolled the Eastern Rd trail at the Scarborough Marsh after work this afternoon and found the BLST in the first big panne if walking from Pine Point Rd. At about 6:15, the stilt flew towards Seavey's Landing and landed across the river from the landing. It is hard to judge the exact distance it flew away, of course, but appeared to land approximately the distance of the boat launch. There were also about 30 Short-Billed Dowitchers in the same panne as well as at least a few of each yellowlegs, a couple of Semipamated Plovers, and at least 15 Least Sandpipers. Nearby I saw a continuing probable male White-Faced Ibis as well as another WFIB that appeared to be a juvenile or molting adult. I have to go through some photos to determine if this is a fledgling or not. No sign of Seaside Sparrows.
Bird haahd,
