Just wanted to forward a report of a young BROWN BOOBY that was photographed on Eastern Egg Rock, apparently on the 16th. The bird was seen sitting on the rocks there for 20 minutes before moving on. For more on this location and accessibility, go to: http://projectpuffin.audubon.org/eastern-egg-rock
There have been a couple distinct individuals in the northeast since this spring:

So I want to encourage everyone to be on the lookout! Check any potential roosting sites, especially channel markers and jetties, or anywhere you would expect cormorants to roost.
This will represent Maine's second record for Brown Booby, the first from 12 Aug 2011: https://sites.google.com/site/mainebirdrecordscommittee/official-list-of-maine-birds/brbo
Good birding,
Doug Hitchcox
