[Maine-birds] White-winged Scoters and Horned Grebe

Yesterday at Biddeford Pool Beach, Allison and I saw two male White-winged Scoters and today a Horned Grebe in breeding plumage (got a few photos).

Over last few days there have been large feeding flocks (100-150 birds) of mostly Common Terns at Fortune's Rocks in Biddeford and off of Timber Point/north end of Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport. There have been a few Roseate Terns among them as well. While body surfing at Biddeford Pool Beach today in the early evening we had a beautiful Roseate Tern repeatedly pass by us--kind of cool to be sharing the marine environment so intimately with a fun marine bird.
