[Maine-birds] Around Sidney/Oakland

Interesting couple of days. First a massive light gray bird of prey flew over me while I was out xc skiing in the field behind our house. Tried to relocate to no avail. Possible snowy owl?

A hooded merg above the dam on Messalonskee Stream where it flows out of the lake. Two imm. Bald eagles on something in a field on the Goodhue Road. They're huge. Then last night at the middle school, crows kept lifting up, swirling, and resettling on the roof. Never seen them do that in the dark. Never seen them roost there either.
