[Maine-birds] FYI: Construction at Biddeford Pool and Snowy Owl

They have taken the bridge out near the junction of 208 and Mile Stretch Road.  I was told the road will be closed for at least a couple weeks.

If you are coming from the north there are a couple cut over roads that you might take or you may go to Fortune Rocks Road.   If you are approaching from the south, you will most likely use Fortunes Rocks road.   As you may know, the only straight stretch of Fortunes Rocks Road is the wide area between the beach and Etherington Pond where they lined off the new parking spaces.  If you have a tendency to be a little heavy on the pedal, you might want to be aware that these parking spaces are an excellent place for the “Blue Light Special” vehicle to park and check your speed -  if excessive then the lights will come on and you may end up with a ticket!   They may also have another favorite locations along the road to sit and wait for you as well.

No, I did not trigger the blue lights myself as the cop was busy issuing a ticket to another driver.   A good place to slow down and enjoy the scenery!! J

The heavily marked Snowy was on atop of #63  (I think that was the number) around 3:00 pm - at one time being dive bombed by several crows while I observed it.
