Gary Gulezian was the only observer for the census, since I could not make it for health reasons. It was a slow morning of birding, and the deep snow and cold temperatures did not help. Compared to two weeks ago, the number of individual birds seen dropped (about 300) and the number of species recorded dipped to 12. No doubt this was due to the weather over the last two weeks and weather on Sunday. Still, two Bald Eagles and a Horned Grebe were sighted, and either of these species can be missed on other censuses.
