A solo Bohemian Waxwing was with a flock of 26 Cedar Waxwings and 58 Am Robins attracted to crabapples across the street from Brackett's Market this A.M. Brazen birds, oblivious to pedestrians and cars parking under them.
The gulls on the river are settling into a pattern. Many birds (those not foraging at the landfill) have found a loafing spot on the ice off the end of Drummond St. , just North of the North End Boat Landing. Some are riding up the river sitting on ice floes with the Flood Tide. Many more are actively scavenging the pile at the landfill under the gaze of perched Bald Eagles, even tho' the front-end loader is not working today. A single 2-cy Glaucous Gull easily seen.
