The rather out-sized, white goose with pink bill and legs and a smattering of black over the tips of its scaps and primaries, has finally put in an appearance for 2015. It is hanging out with a small group of Canada Geese, today foraging in Atkins Bay, visible from Green Point. I should really do a little digging and determine how many winters it has spent at the tip of the Phippsburg Peninsula, but it's been a few. I'm dying to know where it spends the summer.
Don't be fooled…it's not a Snow Goose.
