Just back from a trip to Antarctica and came home to a nice surprise: a Sea & Shore Birds Calendar of the Gulf of Maine. This stunning calendar was co-sponsored by the University of Maine Sea Grant Program and the Schoodic Institute. The photography is all by Eastport resident, Washington County Birder extraordinaire Chris Bartlett (who also works for Maine Sea Grant), and, best of all, it is available for free (contact Kathy Villarreal at Maine Sea Grant, 581-1435 or kvillarreal@maine.edu).
