[Maine-birds] PWM - Snowy Owl and Spring Point Lesser Scaup and Tommy's Park - Peregrine Falcons

Sorry for the lateness of this post. Work tied me up unexpectedly.

Was out  a bit on Saturday helping my nephew with a photography assigment and in the morning was near Tommy's Park and saw the PEREGRINE FALCON. It flew up to the power line in the boatyard and scanned the area for a bit. We turned to look at some smaller birds in the trees and when we turned back around it was gone. The other was vocalizing from under the bridge while that one was in view. We then went to Spring Point and happened to catch 7 SCAUP off the lighthouse. I believe they were LESSER SCAUP as they seemed to have a more bluish tinge to the head. Feel free to correct me if you think I am wrong(Photo), it was a new bird for me so there is a high likelihood that I botched the call. :-)

Later that afternoon there was a SNOWY OWL(Photo) at the Jetport. Spotted easily from the little parking lot on Aviation Boulevard.

Cheers.
