[Maine-birds] Northern Saw-whet Owl, Auburn

Hello All,

A Northern Saw-whet Owl was being harassed by two crows in a yard in the vicinity of Eighth and Cook near the Sherwood School in "New Auburn".  Unlikely to be seen again, probably.  Sharp-shinned Hawk near there also.

Numbers of Mallards, a few American Black Ducks and the associated gene pool growing on the riverwalk with decreasing open water in the area.

A warden was releasing a Common Goldeneye drake that was found in the road at the nearby Rolly's diner.  Seemed healthy.  Possibly dazed by collision with wires near the mouth of the Little Androscoggin River where these birds hang out in numbers.
