[Maine-birds] Casco Bay Bridge Peregrines

Stopped by late morning to see if I could show my son the Peregrine Falcons at Thomas Knight Park in South Portland. He was reluctant to believe my promise as the last 2 times I tried with him, they did not show themselves. I coaxed him out of the car and down to the pier and right on cue they both were out flying around. One landed on the big bumper that is about 60 feet off the end of the pier and we were able to walk over and stand there watching it for a while PF Sitting. We noticed it had what appeared to be a European Starling in its clutches PF Flying In and PF Flying Away. These birds continue to amaze. To add icing to the cake, there was a group of 3 ducks which I did not look closely at as we came in, but as we were leaving I noticed one was a Green Winged Teal

Cheers.
