Had one calling pretty steadily Fri. @ 7 PM-by the river(Mousam) FOY. My section of the river opened just 5 days ago and have seen 2 hooded mergansers; one male common goldeneye also Fri. evening. This afternoon spotted Great Blue Heron tracks by the rivers edge-in the snow and on ice(!) but no bird. Just had 3 male and 2 female FOY wood ducks chugging down river thru the ice floes...no RWB or grackles yet.
