A banded immature Cooper's Hawk was chowing down on what was likely a Grackle nestling at Capisic Pond Park this morning. The band on the right leg was black with yellow type, reading: E112. (I believe the letter was E, but the number was definitely 112.) There was no aluminum band on the left leg. Anyone have any knowledge of this bird?
The Least Bittern was also very cooperative there.
