A day of sun and fog out here on the island. Definitely more birds around today, with good pockets of warblers to be found. I'm up to 21 warblers species, with a female Hooded today's highlight (thank you to Laura and Laurie for helping me find it!)--and that's without an Ovenbird.Other highlights of the day for me:White-winged Dove - 1 continued today in the vicinity of the Ice PondBlue Grosbeak - 1 dittoSora - 1 in the Meadow this morningBobolink - 4+ singing in the Meadow (just love those guys)Wood Thrush - 1, signing on the Burnt Head TrailWhite-eyed Vireo - 1 from the brewery, making happy hour even happierBay-breasted Warbler - 2-3, including 1 or more males, 1 femalePrairie Warbler - 1"Western" Palm Warbler - 1Spotted Sandpiper - 1 at Ice PondAnd the usual Brown Thrashers, orioles galore, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, Scarlet Tanagers, White-crowned Sparrows, and pheasants.
