This preserve, a KELT holding, features mixed old-growth woods – Great, tall white pine, oak and hemlocks. This morning it was rich in warblers, and a few other things. Wandering around in this dark forest, in the humidity and fog, was really fun. Lots of typical songs, but also some atypical contact notes between the members of the mixed flocks. Warbler highlights included Cape May, Blackpoll, Magnolia and Canada. Very vocal Ravens added to the excitement.
