Thanks to Nhoneth, Linda Cullivan & Bill Hancock who kindly answered my question about the L Bittern being seen this a.m., I high-tailed it to Capisic.
And a HUGE thank you to a gentleman named Pete who walked with me back down the path and patiently directed me to the bird, I saw it beautifully.
There were also many Yellow, Wilson's, Redstarts and a couple of Canadas, Orchard & Baltimore Orioles. Went to Evergreen between 11 & noon and it was very birdy on the left side of the utility road side Opposite from junk pond side. But most stuff was very high up. S Tanager, Blue-headed Vireos, lots of Wood Thrushes down low and out in the relative open, Hairy & Downys, Bl-Thrted Gr, Redstarts, N Parulas, C-sided, lots of B & Ws, 1 Magnolia, lots of Ovenbirds singing but 1 silent bird walked out in the open on the path for a great look.
Thoroughly satisfying a.m.
Good birding to all!
Judy
