In other news:
1) I am finally close to a resolution of the over-cutting at Sandy Point Beach, Cousin's Island, Yarmouth this spring.  Central Maine Power has agreed, at least in principle for the moment, to replanting the "Magic Birch" at the base of the bridge, as well as cutting a new "birder's path" through a portion of the corridor.  I hope to have a final agreement in the very near future, so stay tuned!

2) Discussion of the mystery heron at Scarborough Marsh continues, but educated guesses so far have included leucistic Tricolored Heron, Tricolored x Little Blue, Tricolored x something, and Great Blue x Snowy.  Any additional photos - especially sharper ones than mine - would be most welcome.

3) Steve Howell book signing at the store, 4-6pm, Thursday, August 30th.  More details soon.
