Re: [Maine-birds] Sandy Point Morning Flight, 8/29/12

Migration on Stratton Island in York Bay was lighter-both seen and banded. Birds may simply have continued directly to the mainland here.

Our list included (in rough order of numbers)

Northern Waterthrush
Cedar Waxwing
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Red-eyed Vireo
Gray-cheeked Thrush
"Traill's" Flycatcher
Black-and-white Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Purple Finch

No Parulas or Redstarts noted.

Monarch Butterflies and Common Green Darners were moving through.
