[Maine-birds] Downeast Avocet

An Avocet has been seen at Joy Cove in Steuben yesterday 8/26 and today 8/27. Access to the cove can be made via Richard Hildreth's property at 324 Village Rd. in Steuben. He has given permission for people to go down the path from his cabin to the shore of Joy Cove. The bird is best seen right before high tide when the amount of shoreline is reduced. The cove empties out at low tide giving the bird a much larger area in which it can hide.
