[Maine-birds] 4 Warbler species; 3 geese in Saco

This morning on the trail beside the Saco Wastewater Treatment facility I easily located a very active continuing Orange Crowned Warbler which was being closely "followed" by an equally active Nashville Warbler--- both observed within 10 feet.  I could not discern what they were feeding on---no insects were flying as the temperature was around 30 with a stiff wind off the river.  Also nearby there was a Palm Warbler which was closely investigating a perched Red-tailed Hawk.  Further along I found 3 Yellow-rumps…not bad for December 7.  None of these could be relocated when I returned after lunch.

Accompanying the Canada Geese on the river were the Greater White-fronted Goose and an immature Brant ---all initially observed from Laurel Hill Cemetery but they later moved up across from the sewer plant where they were present till 3pm.
Nice diversity with 44 species including Red-tail, both Kinglets, Bluebirds, Brown Creeper and more.   The list is at this link http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S12243716&share=true
