Mount Desert Island Birds: Barrow's Goldeneye female in Clark Cove
Clark Cove 2012, Hancock, US-ME
Dec 13, 2012 11:25 AM - 12:05 PM
Protocol: Stationary
Comments: Karel Buckley from Colorado and I were excited to find a Barrow's Goldeneye female at Clark Cove. It was high tide and the bird was foraging towards the salt marsh. Her bill was almost orange in several types of light... It actually stopped me for a second.... Other good birds were seen today but this was a new bird for the year. Photos taken
