[Maine-birds] Buffalo Ranch - North Bath

There is a rather large colony of singing Marsh Wrens singing from the shrubs adjoining the flooded lower field.  A few of us began noting their presence a few years ago, and questioned the atypical habitat for them.  I wouldn't be surprised if they extended all the down the "valley" (south) to the extensive cat-tail marsh at the golf course. 

Also, a Virginia Rail ran across the gravel drive separating the old canal from the duck pond this morning, pausing briefly twice on its crossing.  A bizarre sight, and surely a Patch-Bird.
