I counted 57 presumably Short-billed Dowitchers at Weskeag Marsh in S. Thomaston today at low tide. They were in the farthest panne visible from the parking lot, in a trajectory close to where the old blind used to be (remnants still visible). There may have been more. My first count turned up 51. OMG! Has the fall migration already started?!
