Our neighborhood kestrels have successfully fledged at least two if not three babies. I saw two this a.m., both begging, and watched one get fed. I saw the other adult fly into a stand of pines across the street and could hear begging from there too. And here I thought they had abandoned ship. The parents have not been sitting much in their usual perch (a pole in our neighbor's yard) and have seemed kind of scarce, but I guess they were busy elsewhere. Yay kestrels.
