[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 1/31-2/6

 Hi all,

Just a few more sightings of note from me over the past seven days included:
- 1 SNOWY OWL and 4 Horned Larks, Brunswick Landing, 1/31 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 6 Iceland Gulls (4 1st winter, 1 2nd winter, 1 adult) and 1 1st winter Glaucous Gull, Portland Harbor, 2/3 (with Jeannette).
- 1 Carolina Wren, our yard in Pownal, 2/5 - only our second-ever, and the first since 2011.
- 2 1st winter Iceland and 1 1st winter Glaucous Gulls, Bath landfill, 2/6.
- 1 1st winter Iceland Gull, North End Boat Launch, Bath, 2/6.

- 1 pair plus 1 drake Barrow's Goldeneyes continue in the Lower Harraseeket River here in South Freeport, best viewed this week from Winslow Park.
- all three mergansers continue in what's left of the open water in Yarmouth Harbor at Grist Mill Park: 10 Common, 10 Hooded, and 5 Red-breasted Mergansers were still there as of 2/4.

-"Winter Finch" high counts this week:
Purple Finch: 5, our yard in Pownal all week.
RED CROSSBILL: 14+, Waterboro Barrens Preserve, Waterboro, 2/1 (as previously reported; Joe Scott reported 6 here on 2/4).
Common Redpoll: 40, Waterboro Barrens Preserve, 2/1.
HOARY REDPOLL: 1, Waterboro Barrens Preserve, 2/1 (as previously reported).
Pine Siskin: 3, our yard in Pownal all week.
American Goldfinch: 45+, our yard in Pownal all week.
