[Maine-birds] wintering Wood Ducks in Maine

Recently a male Wood Duck was reported on the Presumpscot River in Westbrook.

I looked at the eBird winter range map for Wood Duck and see, though this bird is rare but regular in southern Maine, it has not been reported in winter far from the coast, nor has it been reported east of the Penobscot River.  ("Winter", in this case, being the months of December through the end of February).

If anyone has Wood Duck records that contradict this, I would love to hear about them!

Thanks,

Bill
