> Weather:
> Persistent snow showers started fifteen minutes into the count today at
> Bradbury Mountain. Due to this earlier than predicted and lengthy snow, the
> weather was not as optimal for hawk watching. Visibility was poor
> throughout the count until the final two hours. Gentle winds changed from
> West to South to Southeast by the end of today's count.
>
> Raptor Observations:
> There were four migrant raptors that passed by Bradbury today. In addition
> to those sightings, several local Bald Eagles, Turkey Vultures and
> Red-tailed Hawks were flying through the snow. An adult Cooper's Hawk
> passed by the summit after the snow finished up, and shortly after that a
> young Northern Goshawk finished the day crossing Bradbury as skies began to
> clear.
>
> Non-raptor Observations:
> There were 18 species observed from the summit today. A group of nine Cedar
> Waxwing visited the area for several minutes.
>
> Predictions:
> There has been a high wind advisory posted for tomorrow morning into Sunday
> evening. As protocol states, the count may be delayed or canceled due to a
> high wind advisory, Northwest winds from 20 to 30 mph and gusts to 50 mph
> will make for bad hawk watching conditions. Tomorrow there is a possibility
> of snow showers again over Bradbury Mountain in the morning.
